Creating a Profile on eBay is Easy!

I've recently discovered that ebay's "About Me" pages are soon to become a thing of the past.

An ebay announcement posted on January 27th, 2014, stated that by June 2nd, the "About Me" pages will no longer exist. They are being replaced by the new ebay profile page which can be personalized like the old "About Me" page, and they are fun to work with and edit.

The background pic for your profile should be 1200 x 270 pixels. Keep in mind that it will be covered over with the center-front profile photo and text area. So, it might be good to keep your background photo sort of plain, or at least have the image portion that will be seen positioned correctly so you won't lose the part of the photo that what you want people to see.

The square profile photo is similar to facebook's profile photo. Using a square image looks the best for ebay's profile. I do not believe there is a size restriction for pixels. I modified the "Gypsy Room" photo to use it for my profile photo.

For ebay's long background photo area, I just enlarged a section of the blue drapery to make it fit the 1200 x 270 pixel area.

I plan to change my profile page's photos fairly often, ... just because it's fun and hopefully by changing the photos, it will make my profile page more interesting.

What's in Your Future?

... The mysterious gypsy fortune teller is waiting for you to have your fortune told. :-)

This is my "Gypsy Room" greeting card design. I have always loved creating personal greeting cards. This one is just for fun; it's not for sale.
I like having my greeting cards blank inside so people can add their own thoughts & feelings, but perhaps this card should tell a story of the good fortune that the reader might receive from the gypsy.

As February comes to an end today, I hope March brings 'all things good' to everyone!

Introducing The "Witches' Craft" Collection Series

The "Witches' Craft" Collection Series begins its first set of auctions on ebay today. The first of the three part auctions from this collection start with The "Witches' Journey Cabinet" Set. The Journey Cabinet has an astral projection theme. It features a magical "astral broom" with a glass bottle of mugwort herb hanging from the broomstick. This witch uses old world maps, celestial star charts, astrology charts, and her compass to help plot her astral destinations to locations known, and she uses her crystal ball, flying ointment oil and mugwort herb to help her travel to those unknown realms. Sometimes, she just throws a dart on her wall of maps and charts to pick where she will travel.

II. THE WITCHES' ALTAR TABLE SET

The second auction of this series will feature the "Witches' Altar Table Set" which includes the framed print of a witch casting a protection circle by  John Waterhouse in 1886, entitled "The Magic Circle." This set also includes four wax candles, one for each of the four quarter directions ... Yellow for East/Air, Red for South/Fire, Blue for West/Water, and Green for North/Earth. These (real wax) candles were made by my friend, Sandy. ... "Sandy by the Sea" ...who lives on an island in the Pacific Northwest. The athame, which is a ceremonial knife, is on the altar table. It was also handcrafted by Sandy. I like having talented friends! :-)

III. THE WITCHES' BOOK STAND PODIUM SET

The third auction of The "Witches' Craft" Collection will feature the tall wooden book stand, that is entwined with vines. This auction set includes an open book of shadows, three books, an old occult magazine, a basket of aged scrolls and some loose scrolls, an old runes chart, moon phases charts, pentagram and elements charts, and a parchment paper set with a handcrafted wooden pencil.

Miniature "Woodcarver's Shop Collection" - A Broom Maker & Broom Repair Shop

OOAK  "One-of-a-Kind"  Original Art - "The Woodcarver's Shop Collection" (1:12 Scale Size)

I really enjoyed making this woodcarver's shop collection. The idea of creating an area where a woodcarver would work, crafting his brooms, making broom repairs, and carving wood sculptures, started with the creation of the little wooden mallet. (It's hanging in a brown leather holder on the front of the work bench.)

When I had finished making the mallet, I thought it would be cool if I could hang it on something, so the idea of a broom maker or woodcarver's work bench was born. The work bench with the three holes in the top shelf was the first piece of furniture to be introduced into what became a broom maker's shop collection.

The little "owner" of this woodcarving shop dreams of wood-crafting tools. He collects old posters of woodworking tools and hangs them on his walls. He is the creative messy type, but he keeps a basket on the floor near his carving table so he can clean up his wood chip curls when he's finished working for the day.

You can see the dime sitting on the floor in front of his work bench for size reference.

I love to carve and my brother is a wood sculpture artist, so it seemed kind of "neat" to create a wood-carver's shop. However, this shop is set in the past; it is intended to look old and used. ... I love things that look old... Perhaps this shop would go in an old European village, or in an old Amish or rural miniature scene setting.

I have split up the "Woodcarver's Shop Collection" up into 5 different ebay auctions. They all end soon.

Update: February 11th ... All  5 of the "Woodcarver's Shop Collection" auctions have been sold. Yea! :-)

A Celtic Wiccan Gift Basket of Scrolls, Books, Stationary & Vesta!

OOAK Original Art Celtic Spiral-Themed Basket

This was one of my recent listings in ebay's "Dollhouse Miniatures, Artist Offerings" category. ... I love "everything Celtic"!

Ever since I was a child, I have been drawn to the British Isles, particularly Ireland. Many of my ancestors were from Ireland, Wales, Scotland and England. The rest of my ancestors were from the Palatinate, Rhine River area in Germany, and also areas north of Germany. That's why I've always been interested in the Celtics, the Druids, and the Norse, and the Germanic Tribes. ... That's why some of my miniature scale art and art dolls are influenced by these older European cultures.

This Celtic Wiccan Gift Basket has been sold.

Dollhouse Miniature CELTIC - DRUID'S ROD STAFF SET

OOAK "One-of-a-Kind" Original Art

Comes with a Leather Sash-Belt & Wooden Flask Bottle

Created for a Pagan Woodsman, Celtic Tribesman, Druid Priest, Sorcerer, Wizard, or Wiccan

This woodsman's staff is up for auction now on ebay. ... See the auction!

The wooden staff has several Celtic knots designs along the sides, and it has a quartz crystal point at the top. A strip of leather hangs from the staff; it is loosely tied and is removable.

A leather sash-belt and a wooden flask bottle comes with the staff. ... The sash-belt has a Celtic design on one side. The flask bottle is made of wood. It can also hang from the staff or be carried by your miniature woodsman or wizard.

Of course the rock and the woods scene doesn't come with the staff set, but it shows what you can do with outdoor miniature scenes. The staff set is in the 1:12 miniature scale size (where 1 inch equals 1 foot.)

I've included a dime in the photo for size reference...

The Magic of Crystal Balls - Gazing into the Future

It's been a very long time since I started this blog, but I'm finally ready to talk about creativity, art, miniatures, moods, and art dolls ... and show some of my recent and current ebay listings!Since beginning my first posts, I've been working with miniatures in the 1:12 scale ratio, (1 inch = 1 foot)... which is my favorite dollhouse miniature size. I started my first ebay listings last month, on January 22nd on "MagickCrafters" and have plans for many more.

The Fortune Teller's Crystal Ball, which rests on top of a tall wooden pillar stand, was one of my first listings.

(The crystal ball has been sold.)

Whether it's cooking a delicious dinner or making one of her old magic mushroom recipes for a relaxing evening, a "Kitchen Witch" needs her space to work!

Another one of my first ebay listings of OOAK dollhouse miniatures was a Wiccan-themed grouping called "The Kitchen Witches' Work-Space Table." It featured "magical" mushrooms, freshly gathered herbs and moss from her nearby woods and some old coven recipes.

(This auction has also been sold.)
